We're introducing single sign-on (SSO) for VyOS services

Starting November 18, 2025, you can sign in to VyOS Support Portal, Community Forum, and Issue Tracker using a new, unified authentication method: Single Sign-On (SSO).

This change brings several benefits, and there are a few key things you’ll need to know — read on to ensure you’re prepared.

Why we’re switching to SSO

Today, you need separate logins for each VyOS service. SSO simplifies that. With this change:

  • You’ll use one account across all VyOS services

  • You’ll get a more secure and modern authentication experience

  • You’ll be able to use newer, more convenient login options in the future — such as passkeys or signing in with your existing Google or other email provider account

What’s changing

Just the way you log in — your account stays the same.

We’re moving from separate logins per platform to a centralized sign-in process. Starting November 18, you’ll use SSO to access all three VyOS services:

If you use the same email address across all VyOS services, your accounts will be automatically merged into a single SSO account. If you used different email addresses for different services (for example, one for the Support Portal and another for the Issue Tracker), you will end up with separate SSO accounts for each.

On December 2, the old login method will be turned off. From that point on, you’ll need to sign in using SSO only. If you haven’t activated it yet, you can still do so — your account will still be there.

What’s staying the same

  • Your account and its data

  • Your access to VyOS services

  • Your roles and permissions

The only change is how you authenticate.

Will the login page look different?

Yes, the login experience will change slightly. When you sign in to any VyOS service, you’ll be redirected to the SSO login page to authenticate, and then automatically returned to the service you were trying to access.
